Getting the COVID vaccine means we’re immune from COVID and that we’re helping to protect everyone. Being immunized means that when I go out to places like grocery stores, I’m not as afraid of getting the virus.

I’ve been impacted at work by COVID-19 by not being able to take my clients at St. Amant out the way we used to. And we’re not allowed to join other units or friends in group activities.

Personally, my life has changed by not being able to be with other family members. For instance, I haven’t been able to go visit my mother in the Philippines. It’s been four years since I saw her. I was supposed to visit last year.

I would ask others who are hesitant to get the vaccine to consider how important it is to protect yourself, your family members and others from COVID-19. And I would tell people that the vaccine is safe.
