I am pleased to say that on Tuesday night I had the opportunity to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine along with my husband Daniel at my local pharmacy.

I want to start by thanking local pharmacists, staff, volunteers and every other Manitoban that has stepped up to deliver the vaccine. My experience was quick, safe and very simple to book. I also want to thank Manitoba’s Vaccine Implementation Task Force for the hard work they are doing to help move this campaign forward as we look for a light at the end of the tunnel.

If this pandemic has taught us anything, it is the importance of working together to protect our community and loved ones. That is why I encourage all Manitobans to take the opportunity to get vaccinated soon as they are eligible to do so.

I look forward to the day that we can all gather once again with family and friends for special occasions like birthdays, weddings, graduations, or even a simple barbeque with neighbors. Until then, we must not let our guards down. Please continue to follow the public health guidelines, get vaccinated, and let’s all press on forward together.
